Bistrò Dai Galli Ciciano is a lovely little place in the small town of Ciciano. They are the champions of traditional Tuscan food, with a simple, well curated menu, and a friendly home-style atmosphere.

Dominique started this place a few years ago and it has since become very popular with locals and tourists alike. She has a rich background – she studied at a fancy hotel school in Switzerland and traveled the world, and decided to return back home to start her own restaurant with her mother.

Dominique has become a close friend, being one of the few people in the area fluent in English she regularly hosts events for us foreigners to help us learn more about the culture and language. She has also transformed an outdoor area into a garden, filled with the herbs and spices that she uses in her kitchen. 

Dominique hosts a hike-and-lunch event every fourth Saturday of the month. Bookings required in advance, spaces are limited. For more info, click here.
